Make the most of your underwater adventure
Hawaii law requires reef-safe sunscreen. Look for mineral-based products without oxybenzone or octinoxate. Many tours provide it.
Morning offers the calmest water, best visibility, and most active marine life. Afternoon winds often create choppier conditions.
Keep 10 feet from sea turtles and 50 feet from monk seals. Never touch coralโit's alive and fragile. Look, don't touch.
Spit in your mask and rinse before entering the water. Or use baby shampoo. A fogged mask ruins the experience.
