A captain's company
BBB lists Captain Ken Middleton as president of Tradewind Charters, and the operator's homepage describes him as founder and owner with more than twenty-five years on the water; the sources disagree on a founding year, so we leave it out. Other captains named on the homepage are Nate and Paul. Crew Gehrig and Marcello are praised in reviews. The homepage says Ken sailed from the West Coast to Hawaii and started the company.
The boats on the booking page: the 43-foot Sunshine sailing yacht (1 to 6 guests), the 40-foot Sea Scape sailing catamaran (1 to 12) and the 50-foot Aloha Kai power catamaran (1 to 49). The operator lists snorkel gear, restrooms, a bar and refreshments. It also sells sea spa cruises with an onboard massage, a Friday fireworks cruise and sailing lessons from $595.
