Children as young as 2 years old can join family tours. Kids under 3 typically ride with parents and don't need snorkel gear. Children 3-6 can snorkel with close adult supervision. Ages 6+ are fully independent. All children must be comfortable in water and able to follow safety instructions.
Motion sickness is rare on family tours because we use protected channels with minimal waves. However, prevention is key: have kids eat a light breakfast, sit on the center of the boat, focus on the horizon, and chew ginger candy. Sea bands (acupressure wristbands) work for some kids. Bring motion sickness meds as backup.
Bring sunscreen (reef-safe SPF 50+), rash guards, towels, change of clothes, water bottle, and snacks. We provide snorkel gear, water, and basic snacks. Avoid bringing valuables – use waterproof bags or leave items at your hotel. Underwater cameras are great for photos!
All family tour boats have onboard restrooms (portable toilets). They're small but fully functional. We also return to shore every 1.5-2 hours for bathroom breaks and snack time. Full-day tours include a lunch stop at a beach facility with full restroom amenities.
