The park
A wave you can book by the 45 minutes
Per the park's own opening announcement, The LineUp at Wai Kai opened February 10, 2023. The wave uses Citywave technology. Surf Park Central names Shane Beschen, a former world number two and X Games gold medalist, as a partner in the operating company; Haseko, the developer behind the Hoakalei resort, is the master developer, and Surf Park Management of San Diego is named as consultant and operations manager.
The wave runs in three channels: 30, 65 and 100 feet. A standard surf session is 45 minutes after a short orientation, with helmet, soft-top board and leash included, per the park. The lagoon side sells day passes: the AquaVenture and AquaPeakz floating obstacle courses, a Paddle Pass that swaps between watercraft, a keiki course for ages 4 to 6, cabanas, boat cruises and a splash pad. The park publishes no general manager or instructor list, so we do not name one.
