Fathom Five Divers
Kauai's south shore has one dive shop that says it only runs six-diver boats. Fathom Five Divers, on Poipu Road in Koloa, is a PADI 5 Star dive center owned and operated by Jeannette Val Auber. The two-tank boat dive is the everyday trip; the Niihau three-tank is the famous one, and it runs only in summer.

The operator's About page lists Jeannette Val Auber as owner and operator, and describes a crew of about seventeen, including Loni Adams, Bill Hammond, Brenden Brockman, Devon Turner, Grace, Drake and Sergio. The shop describes its boats as custom six-passenger boats built in Hawaii, and calls itself the only six-pack diving operation on Kauai. It lists a PADI 5 Star IDC rating, a Best Dive Shop for Beginners mention in the Ultimate Kauai Guidebook, and a 2026 Tripadvisor Travelers' Choice award.
The shop runs boat dives from Koloa, shore dives from Koloa Landing, Discover Scuba, and PADI courses from Open Water through Rescue. The summer Niihau trip is a three-tank, eleven-hour day with a two-and-a-half-hour boat ride each way, for certified divers aged 15 and up.

Five hours, two dives, daily, on a boat carrying at most six divers. The booking page marks it the most popular trip. Certified divers ages 12 and up; ages 10 and 11 call to book. A non-diving rider can take a standby seat.
